The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Development (DAERA) has published a Consultation on Potential Wildlife Intervention Options as part of the Northern Ireland Bovine TB Strategy.
The consultation invites views on:
● Non-selective culling by shooting
● Selective culling by Test and Vaccinate or Remove (TVR)
● Badger vaccination-only
● The use of 'stopped restraints' (snares) to capture badgers
● Intervention funding and
delivery
● The licensing of lay vaccinators to vaccinate badgers
